Weekly update
It’s Dukes first birthday here in Texas! He’s making steady progress in his training with a recent focus around his heel work and obedience. This is a key part of all training, it forms the solid foundations to later build into more advanced gundog training.
We’re working hard in Herefordshire this week with work on steadiness getting in and out of the car. This training is an important part of any gundogs journey, with the expectation for the day being set from the moment they leave the car.
It’s been a busy week at GB gundogs. In Herefordshire we have been busy training our next generation of bitches who are all developing very nicely with great personalities. As we approach spring and the ground drying up we are able to make more use of our training facilities as well as our training facility in Pembrokeshire. Over in the USA, our training of the Labrador program is moving nicely and as the water warms up we can now move into building up endurance and stamina with extended retrieval sessions which the younger and older dogs love.
